Are there any helpful books are website to teach a language?
I need to learn Persian and Spanish.
Are there any useful books or sites that help you translate English words to a different language?
Not just a translator really, but something that also teaches you to speak the language.
Thanks!

help using spanish words? ?
Filed Under Learn Spanish Words | 2 Comments
I know that for a female or a male you have different words for the, la and el, she, el and ella, etc. so then I learned there are feminine objects and male objects, but I don’t know how to tell! For ‘the coin’ it’s la moneda. My mom told me that it is la because moneda ends in an a, but then I went to the flower part, and it was la flor, and flor ends in r, not a female object? So how do I tell when an object needs a female word or a male? thanks! Oh and for using the word ‘no’? Like if you say I am not fat, it’s no soy gorda. But if you say she is not fat, it’s ella no es gorda, why isn’t the no in front, like no ella es gorda? but for I am not fat the no is the first word? thanks again!
If I want to say a woman and a man are fat, it would be “Una mujer y un hombre son gordo.” But how do I know what to put gordo? Is it gorda or gordo? Would it be feminine because the sentence starts with a woman? Thanks!

I plan on retiring to Central America, maybe Nicaragua. What Spanish program would teach me?
Filed Under Learn Spanish Words | 6 Comments
… the language?
‘Rosetta Stone’ advertises a lot, but is it worth $400? Are there any online programs for learning Spanish?
I’ve tried this before and most programs talk too fast. I need the written word, the spoken word and maybe the phonetic spelling of that word to show up at the same time to really connnect.
I’d like to at least understand the lingo before injecting myself into a strange land.

Why don’t standard English or Spanish, or English-Spanish dictonaries put words in categories?
Filed Under Learn Spanish Words | 9 Comments
It would be really helpful for vocab learning. And they could still alphabetize them in each individual section.. So why don’t they do this? Am i going to have to make my own dictionary just to lead the example?
