I was checking the mother dictionary of the Spanish language (the Royal Spanish Academy) to learn about the correct use of billion and trillion and they say that it is unacceptable the use as it is used in the english of USA. (1 billón = 1,000,000,000,000 correct) and (1 billón = 1,000,000,000 unacceptable in Spanish).

1 billion in Spanish is a million of millions, but in English is one thousand millions.
How americans came up with this different use of the word billion and trillion?

The problem is equivalent to a trillion in american english think the problem is equivalent to spanish billn and american english billion are right spanish is just with american english.
Same thing in French by the way.
We say:
million = 1 000 000
milliard = 1 000 000 000
billion = 1 000 000 000 000
etc.
